Hi, I’m Malia Olp, and I am the owner of Olp Optics Photography. I found my love for photography in 2022. But I’ve been around the camera my entire life. My father graduated from photography school in California, and had a professional career in wedding and portrait photography, with the help of his young assistant of course!

I started my journey doing sports. Shot a flag football game on my iPhone for my uncle’s team, that got a lot of good feedback and I quickly realized how much I enjoyed doing it. My uncle gave me my first Nikon D3400 and that started everything for me and Olp Optics.

I’ve branched out into wedding and portrait as well, and I have loved learning new skills along the way.

I’ve had so much support and encouragement so far in these 4 years. I am excited to see what 2026 has in store!
